As the General Manager you will be the figurehead tasked with launching and building this facility with the full support of one of the world's fastest growing Aerospace and Defense companies.
Responsibilities of the General Manager
Recruit, train and guide staff to create a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Build all technical and non-technical functions to enable world-class MRO services
Provide career development for employees to ensure a skilled workforce and foster professional growth.
Establish a structured framework for performance reviews, conduct evaluations, and optimize team efficiency.
Oversee repair and maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Manage workflows to streamline operations and boost productivity.
Ensure clear accountability for each areas delivery, KPIs frameworks, identify areas for improvement, and take corrective actions where required.
Ensure quality standards and safety measures comply with relevant FAA/FAR regulations.
Liaise with authorities for inspections and certifications.
Enhance customer experience and build long-term, strategic partnerships.
Manage site P&L, oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource use.
Work closely with all other areas of the management team collaboratively to build revenue streams and implement strategies for growth.
Requirements of the General Manager
Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong background in MRO aviation maintenance or related field, with 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
P&L responsibility with a demonstrable background of optimising profits and driving ongoing operating cost efficiencies
Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, standards, and procedures (e.g., FAA regulations).
Experience of recruiting, leading, training and team-building, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence.
Competent in the use of relevant software and tools for operational management and reporting.
