This exciting role will be responsible for designing and programming the electrical control systems for hydraulic brake systems. A solid understanding of hydraulics, fluid power, and electrical control system integration will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Belgrade, MT area. The company is an OEM manufacturer in the off-road mining equipment industry. Responsibilities:
Design Hydraulic and Hydro-Electric Systems
Design Air/Hydraulic and Electric/Hydraulic Braking Systems
Design Brake Cooling Systems
Design Electrical Systems for the Control of Hydro-Electric, Braking, and Brake Cooling Systems, as well as Lighting and other electrical functions
Design and Program Controls for the above systems
Design and Program the HMI's (Control Screens) for the above systems
Document the control and screen programs of the above systems
Board test the control and screen programs of the above systems
Bench and field test the control and screen programs of the above systems
Use solid modeling software (SolidWorks) to locate all system components in structural models and determine the routing of wiring, hoses, and tubes
Develop production drawings for the location of these component mountings
Develop parts and operator manual models, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM's)
Compile bills of materials for issuing/charging, and assembly; and long-lead items lists
Develop parts and operator manual system control descriptions
Provide troubleshooting and problem-solving assistance to service technicians and customers
Assist sales team with estimating system component requirements
Monitor data as needed to ascertain system performance and problems
Assist with improvements in documentation methods and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience
3+ years of experience in a system engineering position with control programming and electrical control design
Prior experience working in an OEM manufacturing environment is preferred
Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems is preferred
Experience with industrial machines including the integration of electro-mechanical or pneumatic motion
Proficiency with 3D CAD design software, general inventory software, and Microsoft programs
Proficient with designing electrical control schematics, preferably with SolidWorks Electrical
