ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at SAIC supports all studio and academic departments and programs. As a campus-wide resource, we facilitate an accessible, diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture through programming and resources that represent critical, reflective, and embodied pedagogical practices.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Center for Teaching and Learning seeks an Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist. Reporting to the CTL Director, this position will design resources that support and model inclusive pedagogies throughout all levels of SAIC's curriculum. We are particularly interested in a candidate with experience using learning management systems (i.e. Canvas) and assistive technologies to address the needs of diverse learners, particularly students with accommodations. Additionally, we welcome applicants with training and experience that represent our commitment to anti-racism, decolonization, feminisms, and LGBTQIA2S+ issues and concerns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Inclusive Pedagogy Specialist will provide general assistance to the CTL Director by designing, implementing, and assessing professional and educational development opportunities for SAIC's educators. The successful candidate will contribute to the CTL's ongoing effort to center accessible and inclusive pedagogical practices and collaborate with SAIC offices and partners, including the Disability and Learning Resource Center and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
