Responsibilities:

This position is for a Senior Project Manager responsible for multiple technology projects directly related to Mercuria's global Power and Natural Gas trading activity where the Energy Trading & Risk Management system is Endur.

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for multiple projects that impact Mercuria's business both internally and externally, namely: (i) two regionally different external platforms where Mercuria's proprietary trading data will be delivered via electronic interfaces for consumption by trading counterparts that also participate on those platforms, for a variety of purposes, which may be any or all of: Confirmation Matching, Settlement Invoice Reconciliations, and the Scheduling of Physical Natural Gas; and (II) a complete upgrade of Endur globally from the current Version (v.16) to the most current Version of Endur (expected to be v.23 or beyond) as determined by business needs and what is technologically available.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technology field preferred.
  • Some BA or DEV-based experience with the OpenLink ENDUR system is desirable.
  • Must have proven Project Management skills and experience. A Certificate of Completion from a recognized Project Management training course is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills are required to effectively interact with Project Stakeholders and SteerCo Members at all levels, all while demonstrating a firm understanding of industry accepted Project Management principles, especially in managing expectations and communicating any deviations (whether positive or negative) in Project Scope, Budget, or Timelines.
  • A solid understanding of the lifecycle of Natural Gas or Power transactions; candidates with experience in both will be given preferential consideration.
  • A solid understanding of the roles and functions performed by:
  • Front Office personnel, and their associated processes and requirements. Experience in pMotion and/or gMotion is a plus.
  • Middle Office personnel, particularly the processes and requirements associated with Intra-Day and End-of-Day PnL and Risk Reporting.
  • Back Office personnel, particularly the processes and requirements associated with Confirmations, Settlements, and Natural Gas Scheduling.
  • A baseline understanding of the functions performed by other trade support personnel, including but not limited to: Treasury, Credit, Accounting, Tax, and Compliance.
