Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Production Specialist – Geospatial Analyst, Senior as part of join the team!


Specific Responsibilities

  • Performing analysis related to targeting, provide Geospatial Analysis services which include providing evaluation and validation of imagery-based target coordinate mensuration tools.
  • Provide support to NGA's functional management and target materials production. Activities involve feature extraction using both monoscopic and stereopsis, feature analysis, feature validation, point dropping (creation of and validation of joint designated points of impact [JDPl's]), test and evaluation of Target Coordinate Mensuration (TCM) tools and datasets submitted for validation, and data entry. Activities also involve data acquisition, data evaluation, data analysis, data application, quality control/assurance and product finishing.
  • Employ software packages (ArcPro, ArcGIS, SOCET GXP, RemoteView) to analyze data sets for spatial patterns, provide updates to predictive models, assess accuracy of existing models.
  • Test results from current models against updated data sets to verify results.
  • Use geospatial Python, R, SAS, Java, or other coding language for geoprocessing.
  • Use version control tool such as GitHub for data and scripts.
  • Coordinate with IMINT specialists to examine potential military facilities and make determinations as to relevance.
  • Create up to 200 polygons representing facilities iteratively.
  • Create one page report summarizing findings for each unit.


Requirements:
  • 8-10 years' experience in imagery analysis related directly to targeting experience in precise point mensuration or stereo feature extraction.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience with target coordinate mensuration tools such as CGSWeb, Digital Imagery Enterprise Engine (DIEE), and SOCET GXP.
  • 1-3 years' Intelligence analysis experience in the Intelligence or military commands at the national and tactical levels.
  • 1-3 years' experience in both commercial and government imagery and mapping software.
  • Working knowledge of systems and software programs such as: RemoteView, Socet GXP, ERDAS Imagine, ArcGIS, DIEE, CGSWeb, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of the imagery collection process and exploitation functionalities. National System for Geospatial-lntelligence (NSG), CEDALION, Imagery Exploitation Support System (IESS), Imagery Library, iSpy).
  • Demonstrated experience to collaborate effectively with the Intelligence Community.
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills to present and discuss technical and procedural aspects of imagery and point mensuration software.
  • Advanced knowledge on targeting development processes and to address QA/QC trend analysis findings, recurring training and productions issues

  • Normal Office environment


Travel

  • Up to 10% CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required for training and program activities.
