Job Description:

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all dealership operating activities. The GM must lead by example, develop an engaged team that is committed to providing the highest level of customer service, and promoting all Kraft strategic initiatives. This role includes the day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, and managing all department related activities at the dealership. Areas of focus include developing sales strategies, managing budgets, ensuring compliance, fostering client/vendor relationships, and leading the team to achieve sales, operational, and financial goals.

Position Responsibilities
• This position is responsible for both sales and operational results by providing direction and leadership for continuous improvement initiatives, developing/leading a high performing team, and delivering the company's business objectives
• Nurture relationships with existing key customers; vendor partners; and strategically develop new ones
• Ongoing coaching, training, mentoring, motivating, and developing sales, and operations associates in all areas of the business
• Oversee sales strategy including integration of sales growth, pricing analysis and market segment share objectives for the dealership location
• Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and functional leaders to identify and help execute strategic goals and objectives
• Resolve any customer or employee issues that the department manager has not been able to, with a sense of urgency, respect, and fairness to the company.
• Work in conjunction with Human Resources and the Executive Team on any personnel, legal, safety or policy issues that arise and resolve in a timely fashion as not to have any impact to ongoing operations
• Conduct weekly department management meetings to develop better communication while encouraging greater awareness and accountability within the team
• Direct supervisory responsibility over all department managers
• Review performance measures, financial statements and key metrics with the Executive Team that support the locations strategic direction and operational activities
• Communicate the results of monthly and year to date location results to all department managers in a timely and accurate manner
• Meeting all financial targets and department specific KPI's
• Work with Human Resources to develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the staffing needs and succession of the company.
• Lead by example by demonstrating commitment, expertise in processes, and a strong work ethic
• Ensure maintenance, cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of all company assets along with the proper security for all assets including buildings, equipment, vehicles, inventory, documents, etc.
• All other duties and responsibilities as directed and required

Preferred Qualifications/Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience at Kraft Tank Corporation and/or a related industry
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience of combined sales, operations, and/or leadership required
  • Experience managing P&L preferred
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and proactively address issues to support business objectives
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Salesforce or similar systems
  • Highly proficient in Office 365 applications
  • Qualified candidates must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communications
  • Ability to meet deadlines

• A positive can-do attitude
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree required

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, crouch, or crawl for long period of time
• Computer work as needed in an office setting to keep the department running efficiently
• Travel as needed to other locations by vehicle, plane, or train
