Job Description:

We are searching for an experienced Manual Machinist at our Oklahoma City facility.

Summary
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Manual Machinist, you will analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts. This includes fabricating and repairing metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools based on detailed blueprints and models.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Specification Analysis: Review blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine necessary materials and machines.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders.
  • Part Fabrication: Machine parts to exact blueprint dimensions, ensuring conformance to specifications.
  • Assembly: Fit and assemble parts into assemblies and mechanisms, maintaining quality and precision.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Examine and recommend design modifications for tools, and develop specifications for specialty tools.

Required Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of a one-year certificate from a college or technical school.
  • At least five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in English with the ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
  • Strong ability in geometry, trigonometry, and applying mathematical concepts to practical situations.
  • Solve practical problems and interpret various instructions in multiple forms.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. of force frequently, and 10 lbs. of force constantly.
  • Good, corrected vision, depth perception, and color vision.
  • Continuous bending, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, pulling, twisting, grasping, and hand/finger dexterity required.
