Yanfeng Global Automotive Interiors in Harrison Township, Michigan, is hiring Production Workers/Assembly Operators to join their expanding assembly team. As a tier-one automotive supplier, Yanfeng assembles Instrument panels, door panels, and floor consoles, contributing to the growth of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Produce quality parts by inspecting work and surrounding areas, ensuring only high-quality products are passed to the next station.
Report any quality defects, including scratches, dents, scuffs, incorrect or misassembled parts, to team leaders or supervisors.
Maintain a clean and safe work area using 5S standards, adhering to proper storage and cleanliness protocols.
Control the use of fasteners through the Pick One Drive One – Drop One Find One (PODO-DOFO) process to prevent issues in the finished product.
Pack parts as required, inspecting for defects, removing old tags and trash, following packaging instructions, and applying labels accurately.
Communicate part shortages promptly to prevent line stoppage, informing team leaders, utility relief, material handler, or supervisors.
Enter scrap, downtime, production counts, sequence/VIN, and other required information in shift tracking documents following established processes.
Print shipping and WIP labels with accurate part numbers and quantities.
Qualifications
Previous experience in production or assembly work is preferred.
Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
Understanding and adherence to 5S standards for a clean and organized work area.
Knowledge of the automotive assembly process is a plus.
Strong communication skills to report defects and part shortages promptly.
Data entry skills to accurately record production-related information.
Ability to follow packaging instructions and apply labels correctly.
