Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated Health & Safety Professional to help ensure the safety and health of our employees on job sites in the Pacific Northwest. For Health & Safety Professionals who demonstrate good leadership and management skills, we can offer a career path to a Health & Safety Management position.

The Health & Safety Professional will assist Envirocon projects in developing and implementing a quality health and safety program in accordance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures, and client expectations. This position will support the Project Management Team regarding all matters of health and safety associated with the project, including industrial hygiene sampling plans, injury management, drug and alcohol programs, site inspections, and in-field safety interactions.

When necessary, this position will make recommendations for estimating project safety costs and cost control on the usage of safety equipment and associated Industrial Hygiene expenses. This position will work closely with the Corporate Health & Safety group and Human Resources Department on employee relations matters. Proven experience and judgment are expected. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven ability to make independent as well as collaborative decisions in the scope of daily duties.


• Must have strong computer skills, including several Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, etc)

• Must have basic industrial hygiene skills.


• Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally.


• A valid driver's license and a favorable motor vehicle report for the past five years are necessary.

Education and Experience

High School graduate plus specialized training in Health & Safety is required. A minimum of five (5) years related experience is required.

A Baccalaureate Degree (or higher) in a related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Professional certifications such as the Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), and Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) are desirable but not required.

The Health & Safety Professional must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities:

• Implement and administer the site-specific Health & Safety Plan (HASP) to include the client's safety program requirements and company policy and procedure.


• Provide safety-related leadership for all personnel assigned to the project.


• Act as the primary incident investigator on behalf of Health & Safety Manager and Project Manager.


• Perform duties in accordance with company health and safety program procedures and site-specific health and safety plans.


• Serve as the safety-competent person as defined by HAZWOPER standard.


• Conduct daily site inspections and ensure hazardous conditions are corrected.


• Report and document incidents and issues related to site safety.


• Coordinate with the Project Supervisor in addressing safety concerns.


• Supervise all industrial hygiene and other site monitoring activities.


• Ensure all site training is accomplished and current.


• Review and assist with the preparation of Job Safety Analyses.


• Conduct daily safety startup meetings.


• Communicate with the project team and company management.


• Prepare and present daily safety meetings.


• Travel and work outdoors as required.
