Job Description:

Adams & Martin Group has partnered with law firm based in Santa Ana, CA and are seeking a skilled and experienced E-Discovery Paralegal to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling E-Discovery matters, managing large volumes of data, and assisting with all phases of litigation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a keen attention to detail.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage all facets of the E-Discovery process, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, analysis, production, and presentation of electronically stored information (ESI).

  • Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure ESI is handled in compliance with company policies and legal standards.

  • Utilize E-Discovery software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency in handling large data sets.

  • Assist attorneys with preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and arbitrations by managing and producing E-Discovery materials.

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders to coordinate E-Discovery activities.

  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in E-Discovery, including technology solutions and legal requirements.

  • Provide training and guidance to other members of the legal team on E-Discovery tools and processes.

  • Document all E-Discovery activities and maintain records for potential audits and legal proceedings.


Qualifications:



  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an E-Discovery role, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with E-Discovery software (e.g., Relativity, Concordance, Clearwell) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with legal procedures and protocols related to litigation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.


Certification:



  • Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) certification preferred but not required.


Work Environment:



  • The role requires a standard 40-hour workweek, but additional hours may be necessary as deadlines approach.

  • This position is office-based with minimal travel required.
