Job Description:

Hillcrest is looking for a Healthy Families Supervisor to add to their team of professionals. This position will providing direct technical & clinical supervision to Family Support Workers.  Pay rate for this position is $20.50/hr.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?       


  • Support Specialist Supervision

  • Meet with each team member weekly to provide supervision.

  • Conduct team meetings

  • Provide daily support for crisis management to team members.

  • Assist support workers to develop realistic/effective support plans to meet family goals/objectives.

  • Assist support workers to identify & understand barriers that prevent family achievement of expected outcomes.

  • Assist support workers in developing effective family interventions.

  • Act as a liaison to other collaborating & non-collaborating agencies as needed.

  • Receive all referrals from screening partners.

  • Review all completed assessments for correct scoring, accurate & complete documentation in each area.

  • Ensure that all assessments are entered in Family Wise within required time frame(s)

  • Determine assessments appropriate assignment for service.

  • Monitor and document each family assignment

  • Attend weekly one (1) hour supervision sessions with Program Manager.

  • Maintain highest standard of confidentiality in working with sensitive information.

  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate staff and staff activity.

  • Assure staff adherence to Hillcrest and Southwestern policies and procedures.

  • Commit to the values of Hillcrest’s leadership team.

  • Approve and monitor time off of team members.

  • Serve as “on call” as needed.

  • Attend required management meetings and trainings.

  • Serve as back up for staff as needed.

  • Maintain required training(s) annually.

  • Monitor time logs for all staff.

  • Monitor overtime.

  • Perform annual evaluations.

  • Perform quality assurance checks.

  • Monitor travel expenses of staff.

  • Other duties as assigned by Program Manager or CEO

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a residential environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and filing cabinets.  This role has the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as noise and infectious/communicable diseases, insects, possible exposure to distressed clients, families, or visitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in human services.

  • Knowledge of maternal & infant health & child abuse/neglect.

  • Culturally sensitive with superior supervisory skills.

  • One (1) year minimum proficient practice providing home-based services.

  • Prefer H.F. Resource Specialist or Family Support Specialist.

  • Experienced with family-centered, strength based, primary prevention services & providing culturally appropriate services to diverse populations.
