Material Coordinator at Roth Staffing Companies in Fremont, California

Job Description:

We are seeking a Material Coordinator to join a client in Fremont. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. This role can be a temp-to-hire role for the right candidate.


Job Duties:

• Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes


• Assigned warehouse functions could include:

• Package goods according to selected carrier specifications and quality standards


• Pull material for kits, shortages, work orders and/or shippers in accordance with FIFO policy


• Put away stock from receiving, airfreight, sea freight, material transfer orders and shop


• Update the system with the location for any material returned to stock


• Create repair work orders for discrepant material


• Process material transactions using the ERP system or on the hand held devices


• Assist in daily cycle counting

• Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, and compactor


• Verify all work to eliminate errors


• Ask for clarification or assistance as needed


• Interface with internal and external customers


• Maintain necessary files and documentation


• Follow procedures as established


• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Reading, writing and basic math skills


• PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
