Job Description:

Horizontal Talent is helping a collaborative company recruit a Network Automation Engineer with network installation and support work experience in a large global enterprise (1000+ sites). This contract role offers a compelling pay rate for your expertise.


The Network Engineer will collaborate with other engineers to implement, manage support, troubleshoot, and improve all areas of network connectivity and collaborate with application and development teams. Engineers work on various squads with respect to expertise and cross-domain knowledge in remote site connectivity, data center connectivity, network security, telecom services, and tools and automation services.


Some of your primary duties as a Network & Automation Staff Engineer will include:

• Designing, configuring, installing, and supporting large enterprise platforms/products from start to finish


• Keeping up with industry trends and being an advocate for the standards


• Leading all phases of a large capability or set of products or processes


• Ensuring the quality of one or more teams' output


• Identifying opportunities in the SDLC, application support, reliability, and monitoring

To apply for this Network Engineer position, you will need prior network install and support work experience in a large global enterprise (1000+ sites). Additional qualifications include:

• Network field experience installing and supporting network hardware such as Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, and Infoblox


• Experience with TCP/IP and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), as well as experience driving automation efforts (Terraform, ansible)


• Familiar with the use of languages like YAML, Jason, and Python


• AWS cloud experience
