We are currently hiring for a Certified Pharmacy Technician ( CPhT ) at Tricare Prime Clinic ( TPC ) in Chesapeake, Virginia!

• 
  Employment Status: Part-time - Weekends only
  
• 
  Compensation: Hourly position, paid bi-weekly
• 
  Schedule:
• Services shall be provided Saturday and Sunday between 7 am and 7 pm.
• During holiday weeks, the amount of coverage would decrease.
• Clinic hours are: 9a-7p on the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
• Clinic is open 7a-7p on all other holidays
•

  Pharmacy Technician must have and meet the following:
  

Education:

Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), completion certificate required


OR


Completion of a retail- or hospitial-based Pharmacy Technician program, certificate or letter required


OR


Completion of training program in the United States Military, certificate required


Certification:

• Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
• BLS- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross Healthcare Provider Course

Experience: MUST have a minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience within the preceding 24 months working as a pharmacy technician

• 
  Letters of Recommendation required:
• Must be able to provide two letters of recommendation from within the last two years that attest to your clinical skills.
  • One letter must be from a practicing Pharmacist or Pharmacy Supervisor who has personally observed and evaluated clinical skills.
  • The other letter may be from a clinic, hospital administrator, physician, or nurse with personal knowledge your skills
  • Reference letters shall attest to your communication skills, ability to relate to others, and professional and other interpersonal skills among staff members.
  • Letters must include: name, title, phone number, date of reference, address, and signature of the individual providing the reference.
