Job Description:

Summary: Kodi Collective, A CJK Group Company , leader in magazines, catalogs & marketing services has an immediate opening for a highly motivated and accomplished Vice President of Manufacturing for its Liberty, Missouri production facility . In this role you will oversee plant performance and P&L responsibilities for a financially successful manufacturing facility of 300 + employees . You will ensure the facility safely delivers the high est quality output on time , efficiently and at the best cost structure . This facility plays a key role in our manufacturing network by contributing significantly to our business earnings. The successful candidate will distinguish his/herself from other applicants by their confident demeanor, "can do" attitude, unrelenting drive, and innate ability to command respect, make decisions and lead.

R esponsibilities :


  • Ass e ss and l everage plant resources to meet or exceed all KPI's, most importantly safety, quality, productivity, waste reduction and budget.
  • Set overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with company business systems, process, and values.
  • Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement/Lean manufacturing.
  • Lead all site manufacturing processes and teams to meet or exceed daily , weekly, monthly, and mid to long term goals on a consistent basis ; identify efficiency issues and propose solutions
  • Play an active role in plant recruiting, employee relations and performance management
  • Direct and mentor the plant leadership team in their roles and consistent with the Company Leadership model. Assess, upgrade, and develop plant leadership capabilities .
  • Build and lead a strong culture of engagement at all levels.
  • Interact with senior customer contacts to represent the business and work with sales to identify client retention by maintaining executive- and senior-level relationships and identifying additional new growth opportunities with existing clients
  • Lead strategic planning efforts to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency in alignment with company direction
  • Safeguard all company assets, including intellectual property, against theft and/or damage through effective employee training, testing and certification programs and strict enforcement of company security and plant policies
  • Safeguard the health and safety of all team members and avoid risks to the company and its team members by active role modelling of all company OSHA, state, local and federal rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a m inimum of 15 years of operations leadership experience in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing production environment , or equivalent combination of education and experience. P rior indust ry exper ience is a plus but not required .

  • Experience leading Lead/Continuous Improvement Programs in a production environment.
  • Hands-on management skills - desire to take ownership, technically sound, highly driven, proven decision-making abilities, and ability to communicate with all levels
  • Logical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectiv ely communicate with, relate to and motivate all team members.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills at an advanced level preferred with strong data driven mindset.
  • Positive and enthusiastic "out of the box" thinker with an ardent desire to grow the business
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in fast paced environment
  • Acts as a business partner; sees the big picture and works through ambiguity and change
