PacBio has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Global Tax Compliance.


The Role & The Team
As the Senior Manager, Global Tax at PacBio, you will oversee all aspects of tax planning, reporting and compliance. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team, ensuring the company's tax functions align with regulatory requirements and strategic goals. We seek a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, excels at prioritization, and makes effective decisions under pressure.


Key Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly and annual income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740.


• Manage the company's tax compliance function, including the consolidated US federal income tax return, US international, state, and local returns and foreign tax returns.


• Review federal, state, and local estimated tax payments and extensions.


• Coordinate the completion of indirect tax filings.


• Evaluate and implement process improvements to anticipate company's growth and expansion.


• Support internal controls and documentation for SOX compliance.


• Support federal, state, and foreign tax audits.


• Collaborate with external tax consultants and internal/external auditors.


• Participate in and support other assigned projects.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.


• CPA certification.


• A minimum of 10-12 years of experience in a mix of Big 4/regional public accounting firms and corporate tax environments.


• Domestic and international tax experience.


• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.


• Strategic thinking and leadership experience.


• Ability to establish and maintain best practices, policies, processes, and internal controls.


• Strong system skills (SAP, Microsoft Suite).


• Proactive problem-solving approach.


• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented mindset.


• Collaborative business partner, adept in building cross-functional relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting or Taxation.


• Experience in fife science and/or manufacturing industries.

Non-Field Based Employees are required to be onsite Monday-Thursday (Friday work from home). Depending on the role, some employees may be required to be 100% onsite.


You may be required from time to time to visit and work at PacBio locations and for such times as the Company considers necessary for the proper performance of your duties.

Salary Range:
$170,400.00 - $255,600.00
