Background Information:



Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist.

IDT is looking for a self-motivated individual who will champion IDT's culture both internally with staff and externally with candidates and vendors. In this dynamic position, the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will work hand-and-hand with members of IDT's HR team to help lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts across multiple IDT offices. This position reports to the Sr. Talent Acquisition Manager.



All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.




Responsibilities Include:





  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment across IDT's multiple offices to include but not limited to: sourcing and screening candidates (cleared and uncleared, covering a broad range of positions), identifying qualified candidates, overseeing interviewing, overseeing professional reference checks and background screenings, conducting in-depth compensation analyses and extending offers, reviewing new hire paperwork for accuracy and completion, and entering new hire information into HRIS system.

  • Proactively create and maintain cooperative relationships with IDT departments to foster collaboration and ensure that fair, compliant, and equitable employment practices are followed.

  • Efficiently utilize ATS (Jobvite Hire) for requisition and candidate management. Ensure applicants are dispositioned according to OFCCP guidelines.

  • Manage the timely and compliant feedback on candidates from interviewers. Conduct interview debrief sessions with hiring teams as needed.

  • Lead consistent communication with hiring managers and candidates during the recruitment process.

  • Proactively build evergreen candidate pipelines.

  • Perform compensation analyses and evaluate offers with HR and hiring managers.

  • Create recruitment-related reports on a regular basis.

  • In accordance with OFCCP compliance, conduct veteran and disability outreach efforts. Consistently report out on outreach efforts.

  • Conduct regular follow up with new hires once onboard as IDT employees.

  • Coordinate and participate in job fairs as needed.

  • Other HR administration tasks as assigned.

  • Serve as a mentor to junior recruiters.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%


Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment, with at least 3 of those years leading full life-cycle recruitment


Required Skills:



  • Experience recruiting cleared candidates within the government contracting and/or DoD sectors highly preferred.

  • Experience recruiting technical talent such as engineers is also preferred.

  • Ability to lead full life-cycle recruitment efforts autonomously

  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Experience with Jobvite preferred.

  • Experience sourcing on platforms such as LinkedIn.

  • Ability to anticipate and pivot quickly in response to evolving hiring needs.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and organization skills


Preferred Skills:



  • SHRM certification

  • Experience with the LinkedIn Recruiter platform

  • Experience with ClearanceJobs

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Experience liaising with third party HR systems and vendors such as: ADP; background check companies; Affirmative Action Plan administrators; and a diversity outreach management system
