Role Description
The System Integration Technical Expert will be responsible for the testing, validation and electrical / control systems integration of the ADAS ECU and control software in vehicles. This position will involve 10-25% travel time.
Work with integration and software engineering team to design and integrate CAN networks and communication to interact with vehicles
Integrated ADAS and Automated Driving system development, calibration and measurement.
Create, execute and document HiL and in-vehicle system design validation plans
Simulation and testing of CAN J1939 and ethernet networks including bus load, CAN traffic
Vehicle sensors bench setup and validation
Issue investigation and resolution by open-minded use of all tools available
The candidate will be self-directed with a strong ability to support a wide variety of projects. Assignments are broad in scope and highly complex requiring outstanding creativity, superior initiative, judgment, and leadership. This is a hands-on position and may require some travel.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering experience in automotive system integration and validation for EE systems.
Ability to read and work with electrical schematics, with sound understanding of electrical communication principles
Proficient in reading and writing code (preferred languages: CAPL, C++, Matlab/Simulink, Python, LabView)
Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with the ability to work within diverse teams
Experienced in systems engineering approaches to solving problems
Capable of creative/innovative design solutions
Draws concise logical conclusions based on data from experiments/testing
Exhibits vision and foresight in testing to the extremes of a design and guides team members through well thought out test process
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
dSPACE, PI auto simulator, ATI vision tool, or other HIL validation tools experience
Intimate knowledge and experience with J1939 and DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes)
Experience testing features in-vehicle
System knowledge of different electric- and electronic vehicle architectures
Vehicle diagnostics design & development experience
Highly skilled GitHub and/or other similar SCM tools
