The salary for this position is $5,546.67 per month, ($66,560 a year) and is non-negotiable.
The laboratory of Dr. Dwayne Roach in the Department of Biology at San Diego State University is seeking applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Position.
The focus of the project will be to study how phages.
Study how phages modifies, or modulates, the host immune system and whether they act very broadly, or target very specific pathways with the aim of identifying potential therapeutic targets to prevent harm and/or disease (50%)
The candidate will also Isolate, cultivate and characterize phages from environmental samples (25%).
The remaining 25% will be to expand novel independent research.

Minimum Eduation and Experience
Doctoral degree (within the last 1-3 years) in microbiology, molecular biology, bioengineering or a related field.
0-5 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
A recent PhD, MD or DVM graduate.
