Lamont, Hanley & Associates, Inc., established in 1991, is looking for a new leader to guide our legal strategies and practices as our current General Counsel moves into the role of Chief Strategy Officer and minority shareholder. Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Oversee all corporate legal functions, provide strategic guidance on legal matters to ownership and other senior management, and lead Lamont Hanley's corporate compliance program.
  • Contract and Policy Oversight: Draft, review, and negotiate client and vendor contracts, oversee corporate policies, and manage organizational risk
  • Litigation and Vendor Management: Supervise our legal forwarding team, which manages relationships amongst clients, external collection attorneys and related vendors.
  • Relationship Management: Work closely with ownership and key executives, clients and vendor representatives.

Qualifications

  • Admission to a State Bar.
  • Experience in corporate law, litigation, contracts, or compliance. Experience in collections is a plus.
  • Possess strong common sense and high self-motivation.
  • Eager to learn and teach others.
  • Team player and strong desire and ability to lift others and the company up.

Work Mode

  • This role requires a hybrid working arrangement. Presence in the Millyard office is needed two days per week, currently Wednesday and Thursday, with remote flexibility on other days.
