Duration: till end of year - 12/31/24 - likely extension in 2025 - long term contract



Important Skills

Technical - 2 - 5 years of experience. Experience working in a Data Center, understand networking, actively monitoring server and network performance and then analyzing this information.

Soft - attention to detail, hard working, dependable, able and willing to work 3rd shift 5 days per week onsite.



Hours / Shift : Third shift - 11 PM - 7 AM Mon - Fri onsite 5 days per week


Day to Day:

As the Data Center Technician, you will oversee server centers and other centralized banks of computers for data-, cloud-, and information technology-dependent entities.. You will help ensure that networks stay up and online, that data is accessible, and that the processing and performance speed and power maintains efficiency at all times. Much of yours job will involve actively monitoring server and network performance and then analyzing that information. You will determine what areas, if any, are falling below efficiency standards and work to isolate and address them. You will perform troubleshooting for customer and client problems as well, seeking to isolate those problems within the server and processing structure. You are expected to be able to perform routine hardware repairs, replacements, and upgrades, as well as upgrade and augment existing hardware while causing minimal, if any, downtime for users and clients. You may also be asked to create detailed reports illustrating efficiency bottlenecks and offering upgrade solutions to solve them.
