JOB DESCRIPTION



$3,500 Sign-on Bonus and $2,000 Annual Safety Bonus!
The Class A CDL Driver is under the direction of the Plant Manager and will primarily be responsible for pick-up/delivery of reconditioned products using established production procedures, following safety protocol, and adhering to our company's quality standards. Local CDL Drivers with Mauser Packaging enjoy a predictable Monday through Friday work schedule where they are home with their families daily.



Responsibilities of the Local CDL Driver:

• Delivering freight short - medium distances across the country's road networks.
• Planning routes efficiently and delivering freight on time.
• Performing prescribed truck inspections before departure to ensure good running order.
• Ensuring proper placarding & paperwork for Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
• Performing service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluid levels, as well as minor repairs, when required.
• Logging hours and distances driven, rest stop durations, as well as all fuel, repair, and toll expenses.
• Communicating any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to dispatchers.
• Check containers for damage before delivery and pick-up, report all unsafe items to supervisor immediately.
• Complying with federal and state trucking rules and regulations, including mandatory rest periods and weight restrictions.

Requirements of the Local CDL Driver:

• Valid CDL Class A license with 3+ years of driving experience.
• Experience with and adherence to DOT regulations for the transport of Dangerous Goods (HAZMAT preferred, but not required)
• Maintains all required company paperwork.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
• Capable of working in extreme working conditions (outdoors, weather, terrain)
