We are in search of a meticulous Pension Benefits Specialist for our client's operations in the manufacturing industry, located in OAK BROOK, Illinois. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in managing employee retirement benefits, ensuring accuracy of benefits enrollments, and respond to 401K inquiries from current employee population. In addition, the Pension Benefits Specialist will review employee life event benefit enrollment and change requests and determines eligibility; follows up with next steps and assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes; responds to benefits inquiries from business unit HR teams and individual employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
The individual will review employee benefit enrollment and make eligibility determinations, address employee concerns on benefits claim issues, plan changes, and legal requirements of retirement benefit plan policies. The individual will perform benefits-related calculations, analyses such as service repurchase, contribution withdrawal, and deferred retirement. They will respond to all benefits, 401(k) and pension inquiries and assist with data requests related to annual ERISA compliance and year-end SOX audits.
