Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Associate Warehouse Manager located in Buffalo Grove IL.

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Management. The Associate Warehouse Manager focuses on implementation of strategies, including supply chain activities and production planning, to ensure the logistics function in a Medical Device Manufacturing warehouse. Achieving its operational and organizational targets to create and sustain value for the business and its customers.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Directs the daily activities of the Logistics function, activities include shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse management etc. Generates various warehouse productivity reports, and accounts for all labor hours. Adheres to budget requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and goals.

  • Ensure that there is continuous improvement to standard logistics process, such as replenishment, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions and all are effectively implemented as appropriate.

  • Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives and resolve customer / operational issues.

  • Maintains material availability to meet production schedules and/or to ensure products are shipped per customer requirements.

  • Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, delivered to inventory, and finished goods, and packaged according to specification.

  • Be responsible for provision of all warehouse related required reporting and present reports or information to senior management as required.

  • Collaborate with department managers on warehouse related matters, to devise new strategies in relation to inventory control and distribution.

  • Participates, coordinates and provides information and recommendations on various programs or projects, e.g. work simplifications, cost reductions, job training, storage area layout, plant material move routes and procedures, wage administration, communication, etc.

  • Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulations. Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

  • 5% travel if need

Here is some of what you will need (required):


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of warehousing / logistics

  • Medical Device Manufacturing, Food & Beverage Industry or Automotive experience (Preferred)

  • Warehouse Operations experience for large equipment

  • Inventory accuracy & Cycle counting

  • Expert functional, technical in management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.

  • Detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.

  • Problem solving skills / project management experience

  • Time management

  • Master’s degree (Preferred)

  • MBA / PMP (Preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Solid command of MSOffice suite
