OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: The Quality Engineer interprets the product design requirements and specifications, and works with the Manufacturing Engineer and the cross-functional team to industrialize the manufacturing and assembly process to make the product. This position requires a deep understanding of Quality principles to implement APQP, PPAP and Single Issues List.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

DFMEA and KCDS to PFMEA, control plans and work instruction development.
proposed improvements and follow-up with suppliers of industrial equipment, including assembly facilities, warehousing, assembly lines, manufacturing cells, assembly jigs and fixtures, gages for quality checks and torque equipment.
Quality deliverables, using control plans, process capabilities, measurement system analyses and Single Issues List.
communicate with Engineers, Quality Technicians, management and Production Operators to disseminate information on quality processes.
input for tooling and processes to handle specified tolerances.
with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to meet First Time Yield targets.
and efficiently agree on deliverables, define Quality requirements, and communicate progress with cross-functional teams and with remote functional experts.
Quality targets and Quality Launch Plan elements are addressed, and escalate when appropriate.
Issue identification, prioritization and resolution through the cross-functional team and report progress and roadblocks to the SIL Manager
