Role Overview:

The Quality Assurance Manager at North States Industries plays a crucial role in maintaining and refining cost-effective quality control methods for both domestic and imported products. They are responsible for ensuring that all products comply with applicable regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Quality Assurance inspection personnel and maintain QA processes, including product testing, inspection, and quality control measures, to address any deviations from quality standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of our products throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain product certifications as appropriate.
  • Liaise with Marketing and New Product Development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems.
  • Oversee product testing activities and utilize data to validate product quality and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, (STEM) mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 2-5 years' experience in a QA management role within the juvenile consumer industry (preferred), with a strong understanding of consumer product manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding (preferred)
  • Experience implementing industry standards (CPSC, ASTM, SAE, ANSI, etc.).
  • Strong personnel management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary new product development teams.
  • Ability to write technical documents clearly and precisely.

Additional Information:
  • Location: Plymouth, MN, or Siren,
  • On site 5 days a week
  • Up to 30% travel to Siren, WI or Plymouth, MN
