Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

A professional to support our customer needs while developing, organizing, and improving quality systems and manufacturing processes to ensure a zero defect culture.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • cross-functional teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions using basic and/or advanced problem solving methods
  • customer sites and reports any dissatisfaction.
  • Engineering on the creation of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA). Is responsible to create valid control plans and inspection standards for current and new product Early Production Containment (EPC) at product launch.
  • Scrap and FFT data from production to drive continuous improvement in order to reduce the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • quality metrics and reports status to the Quality Manager and Staff as required.
  • internal audits (IATF and Layered Process) and reports findings and takes appropriate actions with a cross functional team to mitigate future occurrence.
  • Engineering in the development and implementation of improved process methods and error proofing (Poka-Yoke).
  • and makes recommendations and executes plans to reduce risk (such as RPFMEA) and promote shop floor visualization and 5S.

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent training.

3+ years' experience in automotive manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of quality

related inspections and audits

Automotive Customer experience

Ability to use both basic and advanced problem solving methods (i.e., 8D, Six-Sigma, or Red-X) to

assess and mitigate issues that may affect internal manufacturing or the end customer.

Experience with assembly and metal fabrication manufacturing workflow and methods.

Broad knowledge of theory and use of principles of statistics and statistical process control.

Strong computer skills including applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Ability to use continual improvement activities to enhance the current systems.

Understanding in basic GD&T principles and print reading.
