Are you ready to elevate your career in Information Technology? We're seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Senior Database Systems Administrator. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), you'll perform at the master level of this career series, making decisions and recommendations to establish organization-wide policies and standards for the most complex database systems supporting the Department's mission-critical communication and information applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct the most complex projects, including troubleshooting, monitoring, enhancement, and maintenance of supporting databases for critical applications.
  • Formulate strategic planning activities and act as a consultant for Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and MariaDB Database environments.
  • Provide 24 x 7 hour support to troubleshoot the most complex problems and issues.
  • Review installation, tuning, and ongoing maintenance of database environments.
  • Participate as the top independent technical specialist in the analysis and planning of database installations and enhancements for in-house and external clients.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Deep technical knowledge and experience in Oracle Databases and Redhat Linux Servers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of staff, management, and vendors.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members in the Database Administration Unit.
  • Positive, "can-do" attitude towards problem-solving.
  • Innovative mindset to contribute creative solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of CLETS and CJIS networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with NCIC policies and procedures.
