Job Description:

This position will be working on the SAMHSA Suicide Prevention Resource Center award at OUHSC. It will provide project lead and coordination support to the SPRC team and support the day-to-day functioning of SPRC leadership team. 


Based at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) is the only federally funded resource center devoted to advancing the implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. SPRC is supported through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).


SPRC builds capacity and infrastructure for effective suicide prevention through consultation, training, and resources for state, tribal, health/behavioral health, and community systems; professionals and professional education programs; and national public and private partners and stakeholders. We are looking for a Belonging Initiative Senior Project Coordinator to join the team!


This position performs support-oriented and project lead job duties to an Initiatives Manager, Assistant Director, or Director. Duties are complex and of an advanced nature, to include but not limited to project management, maintaining files, coordinating and facilitation of Zoom meetings, managing inventory, preparing reports and correspondence, distributing information, conducting research and computation, managing office procedures, assisting with budget preparation, and coordinating activities.  Serves as a resource to the Senior Administrative Support for the Lived Experience and Belonging initiative.


Duties:



  • Keep track of files and keep server/Basecamp up to date

  • Create project plans, timelines, and schedules

  • Serve as a project lead for projects, as assigned

  • Develops and administers budgets for assigned projects and programs

  • Type and proofread letters, manuscripts, presentation slides, and lectures

  • Organizes and participates in the analysis of collected data. May perform data collection

  • Prepare various reports such as project deliverables, office and conference supplies, travel, and presentation expenditures.

  • Collaborate with program team members for the development of internal processes, practices, and strategies

  • Ensures compliance with program regulations

  • Assist with the creation of team member onboarding content

  • Provide technical assistance for external groups nationally and internationally, as needed

  • Create and maintain tracking tools

  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of contractor, vendor, or external stakeholder meetings, as needed

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position

Required Education: Bachelor's degree AND:



  • 48 months of project management experience.


Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months experience.


Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Basic data analysis and general understanding of database concepts

  • Ability to organize and work in stressful situations to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
