Maintenance & Facilities Technician

Parma Tube Corporation, founded in 1964, is a manufacturer of custom tube assemblies.  Among our customers are some of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction and agricultural equipment, diesel engines, air compressors and other industrial equipment.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Perform all maintenance procedures and operations
• Ensure all machinery is up to working standards
• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, etc. preventive maintenance per schedule
• Assess current maintenance processes to optimize efficiency
• Troubleshoot problem areas and create a clear plan of action for fixing necessary parts
• Oversee repair and maintenance done by outside vendors
• Create a work environment with safety as a high priority
• Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed
• Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol
• Facilities, project, and property maintenance duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years relevant experience in maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude (air, electrical, hydraulics preferred)
• Hardline plumbing experience a plus
• Experience working with and/or managing outside vendors
• Ability to consistently maintain positive relationships with internal customers
• Must be an effective communicator

• Steel/Metal fabrication experience preferred (weld, mill, lathe)
