The Division of Human Resources is accepting applications to fill the role of Assistant Director of Organizational Development. This strategic role within the Division of HR helps employees build capacity to change, achieves greater effectiveness in individuals and teams and increases the organization's competitiveness by developing, improving, and reinforcing strategies, structures and processes. Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and 2 years training and development experience, or bachelor's degree and 4 years training and development experience. Relevant certifications related to Training and Development and Organizational Development


Preferred Qualifications:

Direct experience in either organizational or professional development in a business, educational, or governmental organization.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of adult learning principles and practices. Knowledge of the theory and execution of organizational development practices in a professional setting. Ability to effectively present supervisory and management training to a variety of individuals demonstrating both mastery of the material and authority with the topic. Expertise in diagnosing organizational, group, and individual performance issues and designing appropriate interventions. Professional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills. Experience in designing professional development materials. Knowledge and experience with instructional and collaborative meeting technology that enhances learning and communication among participants. Ability to work collaboratively with other trainers, OD professionals, administrative staff and university clients. Ability to manage subordinate employees.

Supports the daily functions of the Organizational and Professional Development Office to include providing information about training programs, promoting the services of the Office, assisting customers, readying facilities for training, and answering telephone and e-mail inquiries as needed.

Provides executive and managerial coaching to university leaders and managers upon request. Assists coaching recipients with identifying developmental goals. Provides follow-up services independently to ensure that the projects were effective in obtaining the desired results. Provides organizational development services including, but not limited to, engagement and climate surveys, group facilitation, strategic and operational planning assistance, conflict resolution, and targeted interventions. Manages the LEAD supervisory training program and the High Performing Teams (HPT) certificate program for the university. Monitors employee feedback, makes modifications to course content and oversees level 2 and level 3 value of the programs. Redesigns programs to meet new instructional formats. Provides instruction for all core supervisory courses and all modules of the HPT program. Designs customized training solutions in response to requests for assistance from departments and colleges.

Manages the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) for university administrative managers. Develops curriculum, provides instruction, coordinates events, and identifies potential participants. Establishes and maintains all aspects of the program, including marketing, the application and review process, and scheduling of the 60 hours of leadership development activities.
