Summary:



Provides accurate, safe and cost effective drug distribution and clinical services through supervised efforts of supportive staff to patients of the hospital. Participates in a departmental training program to develop knowledge and skills needed to provide pharmaceutical care.



Responsibilities:



Develops and completes residency research project and other longitudinal assignments. Presents at professional conference(s) as directed.Competent in all clinical pharmacist roles and functions as assignedProvides clinical and operational pharmacy services consistent with departmental policy and procedure.Serves as a co-preceptor to students in learning experiences.Participates in interdisciplinary medical rounds and other meetings that occur for the services of assigned practice areas.Meets with Residency Program Director or designee to evaluate progress and ensure program expectations are met. Meets with preceptors or designee for education and evaluation of rotation goals and objectives.Participates in staff development and educational programs including case presentations, journal clubs, continuing education, and other departmental educational projects.Identifies and assists in developing professional practice patterns to recommend and implement clinical interventions.

Education and Certification Requirements:



Doctorate: Advanced Degree in Pharmacy - Doctor of Pharmacy (Required)Pharmacist License (PS LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)



Additional Job Information:



Complexity of Work: Must have computer proficiency. Must have ability to effectively speak, write and understand English language. Must be able to work well with the pharmacy staff members, as well as with physicians, patients, nurses and other interdisciplinary healthcare personnel. Required Work Experience: No work experience required. Other Information: Additional Education Info: Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College of Pharmacy or a College of Pharmacy granted Candidate status by ACPE.Additional Credential Info: Must have Florida Pharmacy Intern license by the start of the residency program. Resident must be licensed as Florida Licensed Pharmacist prior to or within 90 days after the start of the residency program year.
