This position will be for the night shift. (2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off) Hours are from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Candidate will train on day shift.

Starting Pay Rate is $21.28 per hour. Benefits start on date of hire.

JOB SUMMARY

Works under general supervision to sort, etch, and identify castings according to specific procedures and written instructions, making sure all castings have correct manufacturing documentation and that customer requirements have been met prior to shipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Using Computers (entering information, etc.) using keyboard and mouse.
• Must be able to read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
• Must be able to function as a member of a team and be able to work under general supervision.
• Must be able to maintain expected quality levels.
• Work requires basic skills in reading, writing and math plus the use of fractions and/or decimals.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions and sketches.
• Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Interprets and develops work instructions for departmental use.
2. Reads electrolytic etch identification book and deciphers by cavities what markings are to be applied.
3. Reads and understands on-line information to determine what markings to apply to parts.
4. Verifies castings and routing tickets to ensure all previous operations are complete and mistakes are corrected.
5. Sorts all castings according to customer specification.
6. Marks castings as specified using vibropeen, electro etch, or ink stamp.
7. Prepares lists of serial number, heat number, heat treat batch number, (hip-run, if applicable) and mold position of the casting as required.
8. Packs castings and identifies carton showing part number, job number, heat number by quantity, vendor code, customer, alloy, cavity, deviation class, core and serial number.
9. Prepares shipment for release to customers.
10. Assures that no handling damage has occurred to the product prior to packaging.
11. Legibly vibropeen numbers and letters into castings.
12. Independent judgment is frequently required.
13. Work with minimum supervision
14. Ability to communicate with inspectors and relate reasons for approvals, rework or rejections. Keep records of results.
15. Ability to determine whether parts should be forwarded to next process or returned for more rework or scrapped.
16. Ability to communicate with inspectors and relate reasons for approvals, rework or rejections. Keep records of results.
17. Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment
18. Works Overtime when needed.

• Work is repetitive and requires moderate mental-visual attention.
• Must be able to work under pressure and handle last minute job assignments.

• One to three months on-the-job training required for satisfactory proficiency.
• Completed Training Folder.

4. Equipment Used:

• May be exposed to noise, oil, dust, fumes, heat and cold.
• Some exposure to changes in seasonal temperatures.
• Heated and Air-conditioned environment.
