The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.



The Manager - Data Research and Analytics will apply an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and industries to help identify growth drivers and opportunities, as well as manage the completion and accuracy of ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support the Holman Strategy Office Leadership Team.



What will you do?



  • Oversee and participate in the development of dynamic reporting, frameworks, dashboards and analytical strategy tools

  • Monitor and oversee the gathering of external competitive market research and industry trends

  • Monitor KPIs and identify improvement opportunities and identify areas of concern

  • Compile and organize reporting packages for Leadership Team presentations

  • Field and address inquiries and questions on various KPIs, metrics, and procedures

  • Oversee the development and support of the implementation of strategic tools and processes

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of complex financial models to support management decisions

  • Oversee and perform a variety of financial and strategic analysis functions, including: business and financial planning, discounted cash flow modeling, cost of capital calculations and statistical modeling

  • Using advanced statistical methods, partner with business management in identifying strategic opportunities, communicating the financial and process trade-offs

  • Work with cross functional teams to gather inputs for projects and financial analysis.

  • Oversee the development and build out of market, and competitor intelligence

  • Oversee and assist in the development of ROI calculations based on investments and returns for key projects

  • Oversee the completion of complex risk analysis and sensitivity analysis to provide management with business insights and recommendations surrounding strategies and business actions.

  • Manage the preparation of business cases and presentations for internal/external reviews, including presentations to the Operations and Executive Leadership Teams

  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.




What are we looking for?



  • Master's degree in a financial, business or economic discipline preferred



  • Minimum of 5 years of strategy, investment banking or corporate development experience strongly preferred

    • Advanced/expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau and other applications

    • Excellent statistical, analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills

    • Experience in organizing and preparing PowerPoint presentations for upper levels of management





  • Experience leading and managing a team

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities

  • Highly motivated, personable and capable of managing multiple tasks in a demanding and dynamic work environment

  • Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions and develop analytical frameworks; outstanding quantitative, financial and analytical skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex business situations

  • Possesses initiative, focus, and problem solving skills

  • Must be organized and detail oriented

  • Experience in adhering to established deadlines

  • Ability to perform accurately under time constraints with strong attention to detail



  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication (oral and written) skills

  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential

  • Ability to work both independently and partner with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely to business leadership

Pay:



We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $112,160.00 - $176,645.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
