Summer Internship-North Platte TelegraphThe North Platte Telegraph, a Lee Enterprises Inc. publication is seeking applicants for a FT10-week news internship over the summer. The start date is flexible, and this position pays $15.00/HR.
The successful candidate will get hands-on reporting experience covering a variety of beats. Past interns have covered breaking news, written features and researched in-depth enterprise stories.
Qualified candidates should be inquisitive self-starters who are capable of producing compelling content for our digital and print platforms. Interns should feel empowered to find and pitch great stories about our increasingly diverse communities. We want multitaskers who can juggle multiple assignments and embrace all facets of multimedia storytelling. Applicants who are enrolled in a bachelor's program in journalism or a recent graduate of a program will be preferred. A valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, reliable transportation and the flexibility to work some night and weekends are required.
