Summary:

Supports investment team by performing variety of research and operational functions to enhance team productivity, research output, data analytics and client service. Receives broad cross-sectional exposure to investment analysts, client portfolio managers, marketing, operations, administration and investment technology specialists by executing, supporting, and coordinating a diverse set of tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Provides generalist assistance to Portfolio Managers and CIO—willingness to be flexible, creative and curious
• Assists Client PMs and Central Trading Group with monitoring, trading and portfolio management of client accounts.
• Provides generalist research support to the fixed income, equity, or portfolio analytics teams. Projects will vary as needed across individual stock/sector/thematic research, credit/corporate bond research, mutual fund/ETF evaluations, ESG writeups and performance/quantitative analysis.
• Maintains and coordinates updates of client and account information on trust accounting system, as well as on trading and performance systems ensuring consistency between systems.
• Maintains recurring investment marketing materials and participates in periodic communication and publishing initiatives of the group. ? Facilitates client and/or prospect meetings for Portfolio Managers by running reports, compiling materials, editing/customizing reports, as appropriate and assisting with client communications.
• Coordinates with other Wealth Management employees or employees from other Bank departments, when necessary, on data verification, database maintenance, technology needs, and scheduling/deadlines.
• Updates key documents, databases and archives, often on a monthly or quarterly cycle.
• Helps prepare investment presentation and other materials for internal investment committee meetings, making any changes as directed by senior colleagues
• Represents team on various cross-department functional committees, including software evaluation and process improvement initiatives.
• Attends investment team meetings for support and learning opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Prior experience with spreadsheet and presentation software applications, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe products is required.
• Prior experience in an investment office or bank environment preferred. Overall experience can vary between 1-3 years as long as an internship or other office environment experience is present.
• Knowledge of investment terminology preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, juggle variety of tasks, and interact with staff at all levels.
• Ability to streamline functions by identifying efficiency and process improvement opportunities.
• Excellent attention to detail. Excellent proofreading skills.
• Positive attitude, team player, and willingness to accept new assignments and interact with staff at all levels.
• Comfortable and professional in dealing with clients over phone, email, or in-person.
