Job Description:

Hart Ranch Golf Club is looking for Grounds Crew Team Members to join our team in the Maintenance Department! Hart Ranch Golf Club is located in the foothills of the Black Hills near Rapid City, South Dakota. The 18-hole course is one of the most beautiful, challenging, and fun golf recreation experiences in the area. The Grounds Crew cut grass and maintain greens and bunkers using power-driven mowers and hand mowers before the first golfers are on the course for the day. This is a part-time and seasonal (April-October) position with morning shifts on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from about 5:00am-8:00am.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Mow and maintain greens and bunkers using power-driven mowers and/or hand mowers.
• Cut grass and trim weeds using a hand mower or power-driven mower, weed trimmer/brush cutter.
• Safely operate a variety of mowers, hand tools, and power tools.
• Plant grass, trees, shrubs, or flowers according to instructions and planned design of landscaped area.
• Perform preventative maintenance on golf course equipment.
• Acknowledge members and customers in a positive manner.
• Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks in an outdoor work environment.
• Direct large problems to a supervisor.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Ability to operate power-driven mower, hand mower, and other similar types of equipment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to drive and operate a riding lawn mower, utility vehicle, and other types of machinery which requires an employee to be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver license.
• Experience in golf course maintenance or operating mowers is preferred.
