Job Description:

The Process Engineer will optimize manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, quality, and safety. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Manufacturing Engineering Production, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, design and validate new processes and equipment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. With proven experience in process engineering within manufacturing, you bring expertise in process optimization, problem-solving, project management, and communication.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance, to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and partner with vendors and suppliers to conduct cost analyses for process modifications, equipment upgrades, and new technologies.
  • Design, implement, and validate new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify and resolve production issues, deviations, and non-conformances.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track process performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in process engineering.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Proficiency in SOP creation and documentation.
  • Experience in driving OEE improvements and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
  • Expertise in root cause analysis methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of tableting and batching processes, including scaling and optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
