Making/Packing Operators

What do we make? Nutro and Greenies (Dry)

Here at Mars we have an exciting opportunity for you to come and join our factory team as a Packing or Making Operator!!

The Packing and Making Operators are multi-skilled associates who are responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing and making lines whilst ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained. These two Operators play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects within the packaging hall.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Maintain excellent line efficiency- in line with the set plan and escalate any deviation from standard or plan.


• Support peers in achieving highest Safety, Quality and Efficiency standards throughout the packing/making hall.


• Be responsible for the achievement of GMP/GHP making/packaging scores.


• Ensure cleaning regimes are upheld and fulfilled to the highest standards.


• Actively participate in Operational processes that support the improvement of our business performance.


• Perform consistent quality checks.


• Provide preventive maintenance.


• Ensure processes meet safety and quality standards.


• Carry out work to ensure the best parameters for the operation of production equipment at the plant.

What are we looking for?

• Ideally 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing


• We want someone who is a confident PC user.


• High School Graduate or equivalent


• Ability to understand fluent English-written and verbally.


• Minimum 5 GCSE Grade C or above


• Prior experience in Food Manufacturing or in a CPG Manufacturing environment.


• Mechanical background desirable but not essential
