Overview

The Aggregates Director of Operations will play a critical role in leading and optimizing aggregates production operations, including quarry operations, safety, quality control, maintenance, product inventory
management and distribution. This position requires management resources in adherence with all company standards, policies and procedures, as well as compliance with all federal and state regulations, including
OSHA, MSHA, TCEQ etc. This position will need to be able to provide strong leadership, training, team building and supervision with an emphasis on employee development. Reporting directly to the Aggregates General Manager, this role will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams to achieve business objectives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement by promoting best practices, conducting regular safety audits, and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all team members.
• Strategic Aggregate oversight and forecasting to include: o Primarily responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategic plan for aggregate operations in alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
*Identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and operational improvement.
* Develop and maintain close communications and interactions with regional personnel to ensure aggregate ideas and solutions are jointly leveraged with regional expertise and meet the requirements of regional market and local business needs.
*Through continuous communication, cultivate strong interactions with regional management to synergize ideas and solutions. By collaboratively leveraging both aggregate insights and regional expertise, ensure strategies align seamlessly with the dynamic requirements of the regional market and local business needs.
* Collaborate with Technical Services Group on current and future mine planning including current reserve quantities and replacement reserves.
• Be proficient in the technical aspect of Aggregates, quality control, and production processes.
• Develop and maintain close communications and interactions with region management to ensure Aggregate ideas and solutions are jointly leveraged with regional expertise and meet the requirements of regional market and local business needs.
• Stay apprised of innovations and technology that can improve efficiencies and/or reduce costs, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment utilization, minimize downtime, and streamline production processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop annual budget and ensure proper reporting of data necessary to track the performance of the operations against budget.
• This high profile position will require travel and a commitment to work with multiple levels of management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in business/mining or related field preferred
• Solid knowledge of the organization, associated competences, and products
• Technically proficient in Aggregates sales, QC, and production processes
• Excellent analytical skills

• Ability to develop strong working relationships

Required Experience:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in aggregates production, quarry operations, or related field, being profit responsible with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.
Area of experience:
Sand, Gravel, and Construction materials, Industrial manufacturing, Building Materials, or
construction/processing environment preferred
Level of Education:
• 4 Year Degree preferred
