Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Billing Accountant in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities:
Billing and Invoicing:

• Prepare and review customer invoices based on contract terms


• Enter and post invoices into accounting systems (e.g., Costpoint)


• Research and reconcile payment discrepancies


• Process credit adjustments and maintain billing documentation

Contract Compliance:

• Review contracts and extract financial and billing information


• Develop and monitor project forecasts


• Ensure adherence to government contracting regulations

Financial Reporting:

• Produce accurate invoices for organization projects


• Collaborate with program finance teams


• Adhere to project-specific billing requirements

Accounts Receivable:

• Manage accounts receivable functions


• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on collections


• Maintain supporting documentation for recurring billing and payments

Collaboration:

• Work closely with project managers, contract administrators, and clients


• Resolve billing issues with external and internal stakeholders


• Communicate effectively to ensure timely billing processes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• Familiarity with government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS)


• Proficient knowledge/experience with Deltek Costpoint; Setting up projects in Deltek


• International development project billing experience required (USAID)


• Previous government billing experience highly preferred and understanding of government accounting and contracts


• Strong Excel skills


• Attention to detail and accuracy in billing processes


• Strong analytical skills for reconciliations and financial analysis

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
