Lead SAP MM / Ariba Consultant at Infosys Limited in Richardson, Texas

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Lead SAP MM/ Ariba Consultant

This position requires an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education


• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.

• This position is based in Houston, TX. Candidates must be willing to work from office at this location daily.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Should be S/4 HANA certified in relevant module(s).


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work on multiple projects simultaneously.


• Be skilled in working with cross-functional teams


• Good Analytical and Communication skills


• Good Planning and Co-ordination skills

SAP MM:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP MM module including 2 S/4 HANA full life cycle project implementation.


• Able to analyze business requirements, providing conceptual and detail design to meet business needs, performing necessary SAP configurations, writing detail specifications for development of ABAP custom programs, testing and implementing the automated solution


• Strong hands-on experience in Logistics Execution, EDI/Idoc Integration and system integration areas.


• Knowledge and hands-on experience of B2b Integration and system to system integration of SAP through EDI/IDOC and other interface methods is essential


• Extensive knowledge of SAP custom application programs, enhancements, BADIs/BAPIs, interfaces and user exits is essential


• Experience in Master data related projects is desirable.


• Ability to read ABAP codes is required.


• Writing of functional/technical specifications for ABAP custom solutions and interfaces


• Working with business users to define scope and gather business requirements


• Testing and rollout of the final product

SAP Ariba:

• Strategic sourcing - Category management, bidding (RFI, RFQ, RFP), Auctions


• Contracts - Authoring, workflow approval


• Catalog buying


• Supplier collaboration network - schedules, ASN, Smart invoicing


• Ariba Downstream process handling


• Advise best in class Business Processes and continuous improvement in the Ariba based solution


• Collaborate and coordinate on most aspects of Ariba issue resolution with internal IT / SAP Ariba Technical Support and Suppliers


• Ability to manage migration of data into Ariba


• Knowledge and hands on experience in Ariba Spend Analytics


• Working knowledge in ITK/cXML based integration is a must


• Knowledge in SAP PO (PI) message analysis required


• Understanding of PIDX messages and integration with B2B vendors

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
