The Role:
The Quality Control Assistant Manager will have responsibilities in one of our three plants and will report to the QC Manager. This is a crucial role in ensuring our products meet strict compliance and quality standards. The individual in this position will develop and manage a quality control team who they will work closely with to solve manufacturing issues and implement quality systems while always striving to exceed our customers' expectations.
Core Responsibilities:
quality data and make decisions in support of manufacturing including assisting with daily production issues, line OA improvements, and defect part and equipment investigations.
with different teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
a team of 20 members which includes engineers and technicians.
with purchase orders, equipment purchases and repair planning.
regular audits and patrols to identify areas for improvement.
with customers and suppliers including presentations.
duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
5+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment required; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role required.
Must be fluent in APQP, PPAP, FMEA's, SQ9000/TS16949.
Expert knowledge of SPC and MSA.
Strong knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
Experience with Quality Management Systems and relative standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
