Summary
The attendant focuses on keeping critical parts organized and in an orderly fashion. They are to monitor equipment usage, cost, time lines, and be a customer service to the plant they are supporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Locate and organize parts, enter them into the system with all corresponding information
Re-order parts based on min/max quantities established in inventory software
Work with Suppliers as needed to obtain price quotations, and procure parts/materials that may not already be considered "inventory items".
Work with Corporate Accounting to establish new "inventory items" by having ROSS number assigned
Establish/maintain good rapport with Suppliers and utilize them to solicit ideas on equipment improvements (e.g., reduction in equipment failures by utilizing alternative components)
Performs cycle count daily
Service the facility by issuing parts, tools, equipment and PPE to associates
Maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned
Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of parts, tools and equipment and PPE
Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming parts tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory
Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors
Prepares and ships parts or components for repairs/rebuilds
Ensures all safety rules are followed
Ensures all flammable chemicals are stored in flammable cabinet and there is an MSDS received with chemical and forwards to Safety Dept
At the beginning of each shift;
Inspect the tool shadow boards for any missing items
Inspect the tool checkout sheet documents missing tools
Inspect for proper housekeeping
At the end of each shift, attendants will;
Empty all trash containers, remove all cardboard from the crib, and sweep
Review the tool check out list to insure all tools checked out have been returned
Send an email at the end of each shift to the Crib Supervisor, and copy the Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, and Plant Manager, with a list of tools that have not been returned with associates names and badge number

Requirements/Education/Experience
High school diploma or GED
Must be a certified operator
Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Physical Environment
The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 50lbs. Occasionally the employee may need to lift up to 65lbs, - should this be the case, employees should engage in team lifting and/or use the provided equipment to safely lift
Frequent walking, climbing stairs, bending, crouching, standing, extending arms to reach, etc.
Able to work in dusty, small, noisy, hot and cold environments
