In this rewarding role, you will:



  • Coach, mentor, and train team members in self-management, cross-skilling, transparency and living the Scrum Values of commitment, focus, openness, respect and courage

  • Guide teams through a maturity journey starting with the foundations outlined in the Scrum Guide, understand and experience why the framework works and ultimately how and when to change their own processes to suit their needs while still achieving the principles of the Agile Manifesto.  Encourage best engineering practice like Definition of Done, Coding standards and compliance, automation, pair programming, as appropriate.

  • Partner with the Product Owner to be mindful of short- and long-term goals and applying approaches to help focus on solving the right problems at the right time then building solutions with iterative, experimental, customer-centric and data-driven activities

  • Help formal leaders and stakeholders understand and enact empirical approaches for complex work

  • Engage with other Scrum Masters to elevate larger organizational issues and patterns impacting collective organizational performance

  • Facilitate the team’s progress towards team’s goals: Continuously challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Help the team focus on daily and iteration goals

  • Build a high-performing team: Focusing on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline with minimum of 9+ years of relevant professional experience (Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree)

  • Working knowledge with Microsoft SharePoint, Office (Word, Excel), MS Project, Visio and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Agile Scrum with at least 3+ years of experience with Scrum event facilitation – Planning, Standup, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.

  • Experience with backlog management tools, such as ADO, JIRA, etc.

  • Active Listening skills


Desired:



  • Working knowledge of application programming, database, system design and well as web-based and client/server architectures preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation or ADO a plus

  • Experience in SM role using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Working knowledge of backlog prioritization techniques (RICE, Kano, MoSCoW, etc.)

  • Certified Scrum Master preferred

  • Certified Product Owner a plus


Pay and Benefits:


Salary range (level 4) - $112,000 - $120,000


Other levels may be considered,  The hourly ranges for each level are as follows:


Level 3 - 5+ years of experience:   $91,000 - $105,000


Level 5 - 14+ years of experience:  $135,000 - $155,000
