The Associate Director, Customer Service leads Tyson Foods' Customer Service team in executing high-complexity programs and logistics initiatives for key customer accounts. Responsibilities included directing team execution in areas like inventory management, code date management, and logistics problem resolution.



Customer Partnership Management:


Oversaw the team's direction and prioritization across Retail and Foodservice platforms, refining customer service strategy, maintaining market expertise, and managing key relationships. Actively engaged in customer vendor collaboration activities and compliance programs to drive competitive advantages.



Financial Responsibility and Relationship Management:



Established strong relationships with key customer contacts, addressing issues like invalid deductions and product availability. Collaborated internally to manage relationships and ensure compliance with Tyson Foods policies.



Inventory Management and Supply Chain:



Provided supply chain expertise, interpreted complex data, and developed logistic solutions. Reviewed KPI trends, identified improvement opportunities, and drove transformational changes in integrated supply chain processes.



People Development and Goal Achievement:


Managed and developed team members to meet customer service goals, providing direction in supply chain, sales support, and logistics programs. Inspired and motivated team members through proactive training, support, and recognition, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.



REQUIREMENTS:




  • EDUCATION: BS or BA degree required (preferable subject areas include Logistics, Operations Management or related field required)


  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 7 years experience in supply chain or collaborative logistics (consumer packaged industry preferred); Minimum 7 years of experience in customer collaboration, sales/marketing, logistics, manufacturing, continuous improvement or closely related function


  • COMPUTER SKILLS: SAP, Microsoft Office skills required.


  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills; Conflict Management skills; Ability to multi-task; Positive attitude; Problem Solving skills; Negotiation skills; Managerial presence, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with a strong potential to be promoted to higher levels of responsibility.


  • SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Leadership - exhibit visible leadership and positive influence with internal partnerships; Partnering - collaborate (with internal and external customers) to achieve the best solution; Technical - exhibit visible ability to utilize different systems to identify opportunities and develop solutions; manage multiple business platforms and portfolios. Efficiency - continuously seek to improve on existing methods or tools; Development - career development for self; Internal Tyson Foods Supply Chain Experience Prefered; Understanding of System Flows and Sales policies related to Order to Cash


  • SUPERVISORY: 5-7 Direct Reports (Professional and Individual Contributors)


  • TRAVEL: The position requires domestic travel for customer meetings, sales meetings, and regional customer service team visits. Normal travel is approximately 10-12 times per year


  • SCOPE DATA: The Customer Service for this organization supports order and key program management for specific key customer accounts across multiple portfolios and business for Retail, Foodservice, and/or National Account customers
