Applicants must be within driving distance to a local Southeast Region office to be considered for this role and have the ability to commute to a local office a minimum of three days per week.
Job Summary
The main goal and function of the Regional Voluntary Benefits Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Regional Director of Voluntary Benefits with pre-sale and implementation of voluntary benefits prospects and clients. The Regional Voluntary Benefits Specialist is specifically responsible for preparation and tracking of RFPs, spreadsheeting quotes and plan options, and preparing presentations..
We will count on you to:
Acts as back up for Regional Director of Voluntary Benefits
Provides day-to-day administrative support
Assists with coordination of enrollment platforms, including providing data to enrollment vendor for tech builds and attending testing calls
Tracks RFP responses and answers carrier questions
Collaborates with Resource Pro to review and finalize marketing spreadsheets.
Tracks carrier subsidies and cost submissions
Tracks Open Enrollment dates and supporting client teams in preparation
Presents VB products at Open Enrollment meetings
Completes claims research
Updates AMS with sold account details
Maintains departmental records in internal systems (Image Right, Benefit Point)
Completes post enrollment tracking and follow up
Supports client/carrier implementation process (calls, paperwork, etc.)
Prepares presentations and case studies for meetings
Assists account teams with Benefit Guide preparation and other enrollment materials
Makes office visits to meet teams around the Southeast region
Establishes and maintains solid working relationships with the service teams, producers, and MMA colleagues in all departments
Develops and maintains technical knowledge, market trends, company information, and other operating techniques
Fosters productive and professional relationships with carriers and other vendors; schedules meetings as needed
What you need to have:
College degree or equivalent industry experience is required
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies (i.e., Benefit Point, Image Right, Smartsheet, Sales Force)
Possess ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must have Life & Health resident agents license or obtain within 90 days of employment
