Salary: $92,185.00 to $115,232.00


The Renewable Origination Analyst will be responsible for performing various commercial activities and senior level analytics. The position will take a lead role in supporting RFP responses and other necessary activities, enabling the Origination team to remain focused on client relationships and seeking new opportunities. The position is based in Portland, OR.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Research and identify new origination prospects

  • Prepare and ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals in response to Requests for Proposals ("RFPs") from Investor-Owned Utilities (IOUs), co-ops, municipal utilities, commercial and industrial customers, etc.

  • Perform strategic analysis to help drive customer strategy

  • Prepare RFP summaries for distribution to management

  • Coordinate with Development, Finance, Engineering, and other internal departments in order to prepare RFP proposals and for customer facing meetings

  • Prepare and distribute pricing history summaries before pricing meetings

  • Ensure RFP summaries, proposal and pricing information are entered into the Salesforce system

  • Maintain comprehensive records of submitted proposals and pricing models

  • Perform energy market research and analysis

  • Assist Originators with internal governance processes and procedures associated with new and amended transactions

  • Research utilities to assist in driving strategy on new growth opportunities of key strategic Integrated Resource Plans (IRPs) or Energy Resource Plans (ERPs)

  • Prepares various management presentation materials ensuring data is conveyed to upper level management in a way that is concise and accurate


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Business or related field or a related field is required, or equivalent training and/or experience.

  • 2-4 years -relevant work experience of increasingly challenging analytics

  • Experience with utility energy markets and analytics.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing and interfacing effectively with cross-functional internal groups of all levels and competencies

  • Able to persuade and influence those with divergent views to achieve a consensus

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to solve abstract problems with limited information, attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to perform complex analysis and modeling, interpret financial analysis and provide appropriate data and information

  • Well-developed computer skills including familiarity with standard Microsoft Office applications, and programs used to analyze large data sets

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills

  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with a desire to learn and win

  • CPA, CFA, MBA and/or other professional certifications/advanced degrees are preferred



May be required to work extended hours and travel as required.
