COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS

Title: Painter apprentice

Location: Chandler, AZ

The Painter Apprentice works alongside higher level employees to assist with the preparation and painting of all individual fabricated piece parts, modules and systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Assist in the preparation of the exterior surfaces of parts for application of primer and topcoat. Use various masking materials to protect connectors, waveguides and other required areas.
• Demasking of painted parts.
• Maybe required to provide material handling duties for the paint shop.
• Must be able to lift units weighing up to 50 lbs.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

• Properly care for shop equipment and tools as assigned.
• Comply with Paint shop standard practices.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with all CSNT safety and housekeeping policies. Use personal protective equipment as required.

OTHERE REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to read, write speak, and understand the English language
• Able to pass Pulmonary Function Test to obtain respirator certification
• Ability to use tools, equipment, and materials in the painting process
• Must be analytical, organized, highly motivated and capable or making sound decisions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
