Job Summary:

The Mfg. Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all material activities relative to aftermarket demand for SCI and/or Prestolite. Experienced individual who assists the Logistics Manager with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the procedures and protocols in regard to proper logistics coordination.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate all material activities relative to aftermarket demand for SCI and/or Prestolite.
  • Fill orders for quantity and type of material as indicated by sales orders.
  • Work in conjunction with the sales team in Columbus/Troy to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Responsible for creating documentation for shipments as indicated on sales orders
  • Create discrete jobs to have assemblies built by production to fill orders.
  • Review and report on backlog and all open sales orders daily.
  • Act as the inventory liaison relative to Prestolite inventory activity and accuracy.
  • Show ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly
  • Strong written communication skills for the creation of reports
  • PC proficiency and understanding of information systems, Oracle system a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma, 1-2 years of previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics coordination environment.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Must have background that includes knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Working knowledge of inventory management
  • Experience working with Oracle a plus
  • Knowledge of raw materials and production scheduling
  • Knowledge of quality control programs, planning and organizing
  • Attention to detail, decision-making
  • Strong communication skills
Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.

Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound.

Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

This position is located in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus will keep you entertained all year.
